Tankersley Praise & Prayer Update View this email in your browser Another Abundant Harvest Every door has a story ~ Every door needs a story November 2015 If this Newsletter were a Newspaper, some of the headlines might read:        IOWA PIG FARMER MEETS COLOMBIAN PIG FARMER      GOD CUTS ELECTRICITY SO SEAMSTRESSES CAN HEAR GOSPEL      LOCAL GANG ALLOWS DOOR TO DOOR EVANGELISM      DRUG ADDICT ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR GOD      TWIN TESTIMONIES - 1000's of miles apart      EXTREME EVANGELISM:  MORE THAN A SPORT      "JESUS WHO?  NEVER HEARD OF HIM!"      400 RECEIVE GOD'S FREE GIFT - BUT MILLIONS ARE STILL WAITING... The headlines and stories could go on and on.  There are no words that can adequately describe the things that are witnessed on evangelism teams.  It's one of those things that you simply have to experience - it truly is miraculous.                  THE HARVEST IS RIPE! Our next team arrives on Sunday, November 15.  It's a work/evangelism team.  They will work in the seminary for several days and share the Gospel door to door on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Please pray for those on both sides of the door and that God will continue to shower His grace on all. Doug Speaks at Youth Conference November 14 Please pray for Doug on Saturday afternoon as he brings a message during a youth conference.  Pray for the youth to be encouraged to love, serve and obey God.   10:02 Alarm At 10:02 each day, alarms are going off throughout the office as a reminder to stop and pray Luke 10:2.  Each day we are praying for the Lord to send more laborers for the harvest.  We currently have 5 Men For Missions evangelism teams, a Dynamic Women's medical team, and a Dynamic Women's Beautifully Broken conference on the calendar for 2016.  You may be the answer to these prayers.  Please let us know if we can help you sign-up for one of these teams.  English Classes Our teaching of English classes will continue through November and then we will break until 2016.  Please pray for future opportunities to use our English abilities to encourage and equip those that we work alongside, especially our office staff and team translators.    Thanksgiving It's that time of year where social media is inundated with daily posts of thankfulness. Truly, there is always SOMETHING to be thankful for.  James 1:17 tells us that every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.  We were reminded this week to be thankful for the GIVER as well as the gifts. We thank God for who He is and how He works, for the privilege of knowing Him more and more each day, and for the confidence that He is the same yesterday, today and forever.  Thank you for your prayers.  We need and use every single one of them.  Our prayer life is not adequate enough to be missionaries in Colombia - WE NEED YOU! Tankersley Praise & Prayer Update View this email in your browser October 2015 Dear Prayer Warriors, Here's a follow up report and testimonies from our most recent door to door evangelism team: Villa Hermosa Church: Pastor: Fredy Lopera - 20 follow up visits, 12 in discipleship classes and 5 new house groups started Testimony: Two youth that were evangelized were involved in drugs and God liberated them from drugs and are now in discipleship classes. 12 de Octubre Church: Pastor: Jose Luis - 25 follow up visits  and 16 in discipleship classes Testimony: One young person was involved in drugs and God made a change in his life and he is asking for restoration in his home. The church leaders that took part in the visitations have dedicated themselves and are meeting every week in training and are in the process of meeting with person that made decisions for Christ. La Gabriel Church: Pastor: Jaira Vargas - 30 follow up visits, 15 in discipleship classes and 5 new house churches planted Testimony: We give thanks to God for the ministry that the visiting missionaries did and has motivated the leaders in the church to work in evangelism and already are evangelizing other communities. Barbosa Church: Pastor: Jorge -  50 follow up visits, 18 in discipleship classes, 15 are attending the services on Sunday and 6 house church planted Testimony: Some of the people that live in apartments where the missionaries visited are being disciple and are attending the church service. They are using the evangecube every Sunday to evangelize. Bello Church: Pastor: Marta - 60 follow up visits, 20 in discipleship classes, 20 people are attending the church and 6 new house churches planted Testimony: We (Doug and Cindy) had the blessing of attending service in Bello last Sunday (10/4).  The Bello church has located and rented a building in a highly commercialized area, and with over 50 in attendance, they have already outgrown this location and are searching for another.  Please pray for them as they search for a new location and find something that they can afford to rent. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you for your prayers and partnership with us. Please continue to pray for those brothers and sisters in Medellin, Colombia that they will continue to grow more in their relationship with Christ and that they will continue to go and reach other people. Doug and Cindy Beautifully Broken ~ Pastor's Wives Conference   Dynamic Women in Missions, a ministry of OMS, and IGLEICO partnered with two conferences: one to encourage pastor's wives and another to encourage women leaders in the church, ministering to over 100 women.   We realize that you may not always know exactly what to pray for, but through every prayer offered, God knows exactly how to answer.  Please consider praying for your pastor's wife and do something special to bless her this month.  You could very well be the special touch from God that she needs.  Men For Missions Visionary Prayer Team   We had a great time with Kent Eller, Men For Missions National Director and his team. They came seeking God's direction for their future service.  They came with a simple willingness of how they can best come alongside IGLEICO and help them do what God is calling them to do.  That's what partnerships are all about. OMS has incredible partners around the world and we are so thankful to be working with one of them.   Always Something to Celebrate in Colombia   September is the only month without an official holiday but as you can see, there was still much to celebrate: Birthdays, the Williams family arrival, large avocados, Secret Pal lunch and the weekly bicycle parade.  Each comes with their own unique story, but we'll let you use your imagination.  1.  David & Erin will be relocating to Peoria, IL from Wilmore, KY in mid-October.  Please pray for them during this time of transition.  They are thrilled to be closer to family.  2.  October 24 - 31 MFM Evangelism team 3.  English classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays   Click here for more information on how you can go on a short term mission trip this year.  We'd love to have you come to Colombia.
