Tankersley Praise & Prayer Update View this email in your browser November 2024 Dear Prayer Warriors, For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10) Jigsaw puzzles fit nicely as metaphors for the Christian life. We think about how all those scattered pieces have no form or meaning, but once they are put together a beautiful picture emerges – much the way the Lord takes the pieces of our lives and makes something wonderful of them. We can't imagine at the time how all of the varied circumstances, both good and difficult, could possibly amount to anything until we one day will see them from the Father's vantage point and how they have come together perfectly.   There is a Godly fit for everyone wanting to serve the Lord. You have a special place in kingdom work. You've been given gifts, talents, resources, passions and burdens. God has prepared you and a place for you to fit perfectly in His big picture.  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) As the Men for Missions Global cabinet gathered together, the ladies prayed these scriptures over the men, their families and the work of MFM. We're grateful for each one and the call on their lives to serve in their sphere of influence and around the world.  Here's a verse that we like to pray over you: We have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in our prayers. We keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. We pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.  (Ephesians 1:16-19)   We're so thankful for your perfect fit into our lives and ministry. Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support to us. Blessings, Doug & Cindy MFM USA (Greenwood, IN) was blessed and honored to host the Canadian cabinet meetings. They gathered to praise, pray, plan and prepare for 2025.  Pray for Kyle Martin, the Canadian National Director, as he leads.  The blessings of hosting continued as the MFM Global cabinet met for their meetings. Incredible reports from all over the world were shared. We toured One Mission Society, shared meals, stories, laughed until our bellies hurt, and left with our hearts encouraged and expectant to see all that God will do through MFM in 2025.  Pray for the MFM global leaders as they serve together in kingdom work.  MFM Ladies This precious community of women encourage and support one another as we laugh, cry and pray together.  What a privilege it is for us to support the men of MFM.  We remembered and celebrated God's faithfulness with a trip to the Ark Encounter. We highly recommend visiting the ark.  I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. We thank the Lord for his protection, as we have spent more than 4 1/2 months away from home this year. 5. Pray for us as we consider a move (#23) to Greenwood, in order to spend more time at the OMS headquarters and MFM office. 6. Praise the Lord for the 70th Anniversary of Men for Missions!   7. Praise the Lord for our US, Canadian, and UK cabinet members and their wives, as well as our MFM staff, volunteers, and national partners. We are so very blessed to serve with such an incredible team all over the world. Tankersley Praise & Prayer Update View this email in your browser August 2024 Dear Prayer Warriors, "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11 You know you've been gone a lot when Willie Nelson's song, On the Road Again, is constantly stuck in your head. We haven't tallied up the countries, states or miles, but we've been gone from home over a 100 days this year. Last year Doug was on 37 different planes. This year we have been on less planes and on the road much more, including monthly trips to MFM Headquarters in Greenwood. That's three months out of eight and our fall schedule doesn't show any signs of slowing down. Please hear our heart and know that we're not complaining. After 18 years in full-time ministry, we continue to love what we have been called to do. We just wanted to share why you haven't received a more timely update.  So whether we're leading a team to another country, spending a week each month at headquarters or enjoying time away as a family, we're grateful for your prayers. They are the sustenance to our life and ministry.  Thank you for your FAITHFUL, generous support especially when you don't hear from us. You are such a blessing to us! You're always welcome to join us.    Family News - Rejoicing Jonathan and Angelique were married August 12 on Pray Lake in Glacier National Park during an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Doug had the blessing of officiating. There are years of answered prayers wrapped up in this picture. We give God thanks, praise and glory! 1.
