Tankersley Praise & Prayer Update View this email in your browser March 2022 Dear Prayer Warriors, Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3 LIVING HOPE - OUR LIVING HOPE!  We can't imagine life without it! We would be as good as dead without reading about Jesus everyday, without talking to Jesus throughout the day, without depending on Jesus for everything we need, and without having Jesus lead us in His ways and by His truth. We can't imagine a life without Jesus, OUR LIVING HOPE! To the believer, every single day is Easter Sunday. Join us in rejoicing that we love and serve a Risen Savior. He's Alive! Thank you for your faithful encouragement and support to us. We can't imagine this ministry without you.  Easter Blessings, Doug & Cindy Men for Missions USA Cabinet Meetings  (We're actually missing a few)   We're are thankful for the men who commit to serve on the MFM USA Cabinet and we're very grateful for their wives who encourage and support their involvement.  Cindy has accepted the invitation to plan and prepare the ladies' agenda for future cabinet meetings. She really enjoys utilizing her gift of hospitality in this way. The USA cabinet meets twice a year, so pray for her as she prepares devotions and prayer time for the June meetings.  After we returned home from the January meetings, we became a COVID statistic. Thankfully, we had mild symptoms and didn't require any medical attention.  Jesus Film Project in Cuba (Click picture for more info on Jesus Film Project)   This backpack is a priceless tool for the MFM team in Cuba. They have committed to showing the Jesus Film 50 times each year. However, getting it to Cuba has been a challenge. So, when we found out that the Cuban MFM director was going to be in Dominican Republic, we made plans to deliver it to him in the DR.   Please pray for the safe and timely delivery of this backpack into Cuba. Please continue to pray for our Cuban brothers and sisters during these very difficult days. Quite a Diverse Vision/Prayer Team   Cubans, Dominicans, Americans and a Nicaraguan come together to make plans to serve alongside Haitian pastors in the Dominican Republic. We met with a group of people and church pastors about MFM and reaching men in their communities near the Haiti border. They see this as a huge need, as many of the churches have many women and few men.  We also met with a church in Santo Domingo that is doing an amazing ministry as a church. They have outreach to the elderly, homeless, and a school for kids as well as kids with special needs.  Pray that God will show us how to best come alongside these servants to help them do what God is calling them to do.  We return in three weeks to meet with more Haitian pastors and learn about their life and ministry in the DR.  Jonathan will Serve in Italy   Jonathan will be going on his first short-term mission trip with OMS on May 20-28. He will travel to Catania, Italy to do evangelism and discipleship among African refugees.  Please pray for this special time of preparation. Praise the Lord that for the first time in 16 years, we are 100% funded! We are continually grateful for each and every supporter that God provides.  3. Praise the Lord for many incredible opportunities and new relationships in the Dominican Republic.  Pray for our return trip on April 21-25.  4. Pray for MFM staff meetings as we meet and serve together in Lake Charles, LA with hurricane relief projects May 14-21. 5. Pray for air travel to remain open as we prepare for multiple international meetings and visits to various countries. 6. Praise the Lord for 35 years of marriage. We're thankful for a week away with our toes in the chilled Florida sand.  Vision:  Our goal is the Lordship of Jesus Christ in each person's life, at home and around the world.
