Tankersley Praise & Prayer Update View this email in your browser February 2025 Dear Prayer Warriors, "But make sure that in your hearts you honor Christ as Lord. Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you about the hope you have." 1 Peter 3:15 We're excited to kick off 2025 with a vision to Fuel for the Future of MFM. As we plan and prepare to move forward in our new roles, we see that God has given us 4 areas to fuel the future of MFM: Prayer, Collaboration, Expansion and Saturation.   Prayer is the firm foundation to any missional movement or organization. We're grateful for the Tuesday night MFM Global prayer group that is faithful to pray for the ministries of OMS/MFM around the world. We, personally, rely heavily on the mighty prayer warriors that have supported us for almost 20 years.    Collaboration with OMS ministries worldwide and MFM partners in Canada, United Kingdom, Israel, Cuba, Colombia, Albania and other G5-30 countries will work together to find and support OMS projects while serving together on multi-national teams.    Expansion will consist of mobilizing new team members, team leaders, staff, resources, locations and projects which in turn will create more opportunities for the calling of more career missionaries fueling the OMS goal of 125 (missionaries) X 125 (anniversary)   Saturation of the Gospel will continue with the Circle of Saturation initiative by the continuation of sending evangelism teams into Colombia and Mexico's Circle of Silence, as well as sending the first MFM evangelism team into Italy in May this year.  Please pray for these specific areas that God has put on our heart and for us to be faithful servants to His call, vision and His word.  Blessings, Doug & Cindy MFM USA Cabinet Meetings Waco, Texas We are designed to be in community. God reminds us in Genesis that it's not good to be alone. We're so grateful for the time and commitment that our MFM Cabinet members invest in Men For Missions. Unfortunately the weather prohibited several from in-person attendance. In the midst of planning and preparing for the coming year, they also know how to enjoy the goodness of fellowship. We're so grateful for these precious friendships with a holy purpose.  Disclaimer: Surprisingly, no one was hurt in the throwing of axes.  HOPE61 During our cabinet ladies gatherings, we were privileged to hear from Tonya Overton, the associate director of HOPE61.  HOPE61 mobilizes the church around the world to stop all forms of human trafficking. Their trainers help churches worldwide use the talents, abilities, and resources they already have to prevent human trafficking by addressing vulnerabilities that lead to trafficking. The local church has a unique opportunity and responsibility to address vulnerability in its community. HOPE61 offers two levels of training for local churches, ENGAGE and MULTIPLY. At its core, HOPE61 is an evangelism and discipleship catalyst aimed directly at those who are vulnerable to becoming involved in human trafficking. Please click the above HOPE61 logo to check out their website and to schedule a trainer to share at your church.  Avon Park Holiness Camp OMS Family Thank you for praying for our time at Avon Park Holiness Camp. We had quite a representation of OMS missionaries there and several were not picturered.  Each day was filled with Bible teaching from Chris Bounds, OMSG board member, insights from missionaries, messages from preachers, worship music, great food and sweet fellowship.  Our intention was to go seeking God for a fueling of our hearts & souls. He is certainly FAITHFUL! Teams 2025 is off to a roaring start with 7 teams to 6 different countries in the month of January! We are excited about what God has in store for the rest of 2025.
