One Mission Society missionaries in Hungary have been working to get food into Ukraine since the war began. They have an urgent need for drivers during the month of April.
They are sourcing food from various locations in country and taking it to partners. Not everyone has to cross the border, but some drivers will need to cross. They are then unloading across the border.
On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, they start in Budapest, deliver the loads and then return to a nearby town to refill the vans. Then they stay the evening at the house at the border. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, they take the load from the night before and head back to Budapest. Not everyone has to do every run, but if you're coming for 8 days or so, it's helpful.
The vans are full-sized and manual transmission. So, it's very helpful if you have experience with this type of van.
Estimated trip costs are $1,200 (price of ticket to Budapest). You're food, lodging and transportation costs are covered. If this is your first time serving with Men For Missions, you will receive $150 towards your total costs.
