Dear Prayer Warriors,

Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22

It takes some extra effort to be able to see a view such as this one. We remember the time and labor it took to climb over 700 steps to the top of a rock in Guatape, Colombia. However, once we were at the top, the view was worth every heart pounding step, drop of sweat and muscle aches. At the top there was time to rest, marvel and breathe in a freshness that wasn't possible down below. 

We were recently invited to participate in an OMS conference to engage the global church for the global harvest. It was at this conference that we were lured to step away from our binocular view of ministry so that we could see a 30,000 feet view of where OMS has been and where they are going. That overview was quite spectacular. You could see the beauty of God's faithfulness, you could see one BIG picture and you had a sense of how big God is and how small we are, and yet He allows us the privilege to be a part of His glorious Kingdom work. 

Your prayers and financial support to our ministry over the years were vibrantly reflected in the beauty of God's faithfulness. Thank you for your faithful support to us and the work that God is calling all of us to do. We are extremely grateful knowing that we all work together in and for His Kingdom.

MFM leadership staff had the privilege of serving with several members of the Winchester, Indiana MFM council group this summer making lemon shake-ups. For more than 35 years, the renown and well-loved lemon shake-ups have been served from a small trailer at the Indiana and Ohio county fairs, OMS conferences, and other venues.

People return year after year with claims that MFM shake-ups are the best. They also desire to reconnect with dear friends that they may not have seen since the previous summer. It's a type of family reunion inside and outside of the trailer as volunteers come from all over to serve with their matching shirts, and desire to help raise awareness and funds for God's work around the world.  
 
Circle of Silence - La Piadad, Mexico

This evangelism team was the first of its kind to minister in the Circle of Silence (COS), an under-reached area made up of eight Mexican states. We partnered with Satura Mexico and 4 local churches in the city of La Piedad. 

This history and reputation of being known as the graveyard for pastors in this area foreshadowed the possibility of resistance to the Good News of Jesus. However, it was evident that God had prepared hearts in advance as doors remained opened to hear a personal story of hope and a story of how much Jesus loves them.  We found people famished for hope and a hunger for the things that statues have been unable to fill. 

Please pray for the field of Mexico as they continue to pray, plan and prepare for innovative ways to reach those in the Circle of Silence. We hope to lead many more evangelism teams in 2024. Please pray and ask God to send you.

There's an URGENT need for two teams in November:

1. Hatillo, Puerto Rico Work team
November 11-18

2. Medellin, Colombia Evangelism team November 11-18

The Puerto Rico team only has four men at present. We really need 2 to 4 more men.
and
Unless we get 3 more people for the Colombia team by OCTOBER 15, we will have to cancel this team.

Please pray that God will supply this need.
Maybe YOU are the answer to this prayer!
 
1. Praise the Lord for the first evangelism team to the Circle of Silence. Pray for the field leadership as they plan and prepare for teams in 2024. 

2.  Pray for MFM UK cabinet meetings on October 14. We will travel to Ireland on 10/12.

3.  Pray for MFM Canada cabinet meetings on November 4. We will travel to Canada on 11/1.

4.  Praise the Lord for 32 MFM teams to 13 countries with 242 people so far this year. 

5. Pray for God to fill an urgent need for two teams in November. 

6. Pray for religious visas to be granted for a December team to Cuba. 
 
Vision:  Our goal is the Lordship of Jesus Christ in each person's life, at home and around the world.

Mission:  Men for Missions challenges men to Do, Go and Give in total obedience to Jesus Christ.

Dear Prayer Warriors,

The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9

It was about this time last year that I was preparing to serve in Spain for two weeks at an OMS camp. I returned home wanting to plan another trip for the following summer. I made a list of women to invite and began to pray for them. I knew that not all would be able to go, but when the invitations were sent out, there was not one that could join me. I extended my invitation beyond those on the list but still came up empty. It was evident that even though God knew my heart and desire to serve, He must have something else planned. However, the July calendar never filled up with anything except a few meetings. 

Then, on July 12, when I had hoped to be in Spain, the Lord graciously freed my mom from years of struggling with Dementia. Since her rapid decline beginning in December, I knew deep in my heart that God, in his abundant grace, was establishing my steps for her homecoming. 

My mom rarely went out of the house without makeup, her hair fixed or freshly ironed jeans. She was a beautiful woman, loved adventure and experiencing new things. She came to Ecuador four times during our first term. She joined us at Christmas during language school in Costa Rica and if she was able, she would have joined me in Spain because she loved to clean. 

In the hours before her death, she was unresponsive and there was no make-up, her hair was a mess and she would have been appalled at the hospital gown.  But I never envied her more than I did at that moment, knowing that she would be in the arms of Jesus very soon. Because God establishes my steps, I was able to be with her, pray over her, read scriptures to her and sing God's blessing over her. It's just the kind of primping that our spirit needs before seeing Jesus face to face. 

He really does work everything for our good and HIS glory! Thank you for your faithful prayer support even when you don't have specific requests. God knows, He hears and He answers!

Puerto Rico Work Team

Thank you for praying for Doug and the team that served in Puerto Rico. In addition to painting the inside of the kitchen and dining area of a church camp when it rained, they were able to strip, prepare and seal the roofs of two homes that had been heavily damaged due to past hurricanes. The families could not afford the repairs and had been living with makeshift buckets scattered throughout their homes.  Doug recently reached out to one of the homeowners to see if the repairs actually worked, was told: "Yes, the work was excellent and the temperature inside the house also went down.  We will always be thankful for your team." Thank you for being a blessing to us, so that we can pass blessings on to others.
MFM USA Cabinet Meetings

We thank the Lord for the men who serve on the MFM USA cabinet and their wives who support their service.
Cindy has the pleasure of planning the agenda for the ladies while the men attend meetings. This summer, we shared sweet fellowship as we prepared & participated in a Biblical dinner, prayer walked the OMS campus and covered the meetings in prayer.
Fall Schedule
Planning and preparations continue for our Fall Schedule. It's packed:

August 21-25 ~ Ohio Darke County Fair, working with MFM lemonade shake up trailer.
(This is a first for us!)

September 9-16 ~ Mexico Evangelism Team in the Circle of Silence

October 14 ~ United Kingdom MFM Cabinet Meetings

November 2-4 ~ Canada MFM Cabinet Meetings

December 2-9 ~ Cuba Work Team
1. Praise God for His presence, provisions and mighty hand of protection!

2. Pray for some much needed family time July 29-August 5th in the Northwoods.

3. Pray as we plan for our Fall schedule.

4.  Pray for 10 additional financial & prayer supporters.

5.  Pray as preparations are underway to celebrate 70 years of MFM in 2024.
