Tankersley Praise & Prayer Update View this email in your browser January 2020 Dear Prayer Warriors, Happy New Year!   "Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance in what we do not see."  Hebrews 11:1   You may or may not know that back in 1985, Doug and I were a blind date.  If we were honest, words such as confidence, hope and assurance would not have been used to describe the moments before we met.  However, in hindsight, we can certainly use those words to describe God's plans for us and in how He has grown our faith.  We have confidence in God, hope in God, and assurance in God, which grows our faith each and every day.     As we come to the end of a year and the end of a decade, we take time to look back to see God's faithfulness in our lives and our ministries.  It's His faithfulness that produces our overflowing grateful and thankful hearts.  It's His faithfulness that gives us confidence, hope and assurance for all the things that we will see in 2020.     We're so thankful for you and your loving support to us as we continue to serve as OMS missionaries with Men For Missions.  Thank you for your prayers that sustain our ministry. God is faithful through you!    May 2020 be filled with God's abundant blessings for you and your family.     Blessings, Doug & Cindy MFM Cabinet Meetings January 9 - 12 ~ Texas We had the privilege of attending the MFM USA cabinet meetings.  Men and women from all over the USA came together to give God thanks for all He has done in MFM and to seek Him as we move forth in 2020. We are very thankful for each one that willingly and joyfully serves on the cabinet board.  We are praying for clear 20-20 vision in 2020 that only the Lord can provide. Cindy had an encouraging time with the ladies in devotion time, prayer and sweet fellowship.   February Travel Our work continues with G5-30!  Expanding MFM into 30 countries within the next 5 years.  We are rejoicing in the 15 countries that the Lord has provided for expansion this year.   Doug travels to Nicaragua and El Salvador in February to meet with potential ministry partners.   Please pray for him and the MFM team that God is putting together.   Teams for 2020 We're excited to be leading several teams into Cuba and Dominican Republic this year.  It's crucial for the teams to Cuba to obtain religious ministry visas.   Please pray that each of these teams will be granted their visas.   We're also looking for team members to join us to the Dominican Republic. Team dates are:   August 22 - 29 November 7-14 Do you want to go to the Olympics in Tokyo?   MFM is preparing for a 2 week evangelism team: July 26 - August 8.   Please remember to pray for the 8 teams evangelizing in Colombia this year as well. What a JOY! We're so thankful for our family and the time that we were able to share together during the Christmas holiday.  Here's Cindy and her mom attending the Christmas program at Northwoods Community Church.  We rejoice in 1878 people that gave their heart to Jesus during the 11 performances. What a joy it is to be part of a church with such a strong evangelistic heartbeat.       1.  Praising God for so many blessings this past year! 2.  Pray for Doug's travels to Nicaragua and El  Salvador in February. 3.  Pray for the evangelism teams to Colombia beginning on February 15!   4.  Pray for the Cuban Visas needed for our March team. 5.  Please pray for open airways, as we have many overseas travels this year.   6.  Pray for the continued expansion of Men For Mission's G5-30.  More on this in our February Update. Vision:  Our goal is the Lordship of Jesus Christ in each person's life, at home and around the world.
