Christmas 2021

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Luke 2: 16-18
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.

As we continue to relish in the season of gratitude and Thanksgiving, we enter into a special time of hope and expectancy that Christmas brings. However, with all the demands at this time of year, it's hard to keep our focus on where it should be. So we intentionally try to plan activities that will help us stay focused. One of those activities this year was to see The Chosen Christmas special. It was AMAZING!

"PEOPLE MUST KNOW" is a quote from the shepherds in the movie. What an example these lowly but chosen shepherds give us today.

People must know why Jesus came.
People must know how much God loves them.
People must know that He's coming again!
People must know.....

It's our prayer that we don't merely read the words found in the nativity story, but that we actually experience them and invite others to experience them as well.

Thank you so much for your incredible prayer and financial support to us this year. May 2022 be filled with many opportunities to share what we know about Jesus.

Love & Blessings,
Doug & Cindy
Doug's New Position

The Men For Missions Global cabinet met on October 31 via Zoom. There were guys participating from Canada, Ireland, Scotland, Liberia, U.S., and Israel. Unfortunately, our partner from Cuba was unable to connect, but may you be blessed by the very recent report below.

As we continue to move forward with global expansion through the G5-30 initiative, the board appointed Doug to the position of Vice Executive Director. Our work in Latin America will continue as we shift to a more global focus and serve alongside Kent Eller, the Executive Director of MFM.

Join us in praying for our MFM leadership around the world as we ask God to move in the hearts of laymen.
Together AGAIN!

We had a wonderful opportunity to host our dear friends, Darryl & Kelly Chambers, OMS missionaries from Ecuador. These smiles never left our faces. We served together in Ecuador for 4 years, but we now know that we packed a lifetime of memories into those few short years.

They are finishing up their home assignment before returning to continue to serve as Field Directors of Ecuador. Please pray for them and consider supporting them by clicking the picture.

We had several days of great staff meetings in November. It's such a privilege to have co-workers that are good friends. We truly love being together.

Even though our travel continues to be quite restrictive, we still see God developing ministry partners around the world. Lord willing, we plan to visit the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Albania, Puerto Rico and more in 2022.

Please pray that God will make a way during these uncertain times.
Men for Missions - Cuba

The Men For Missions-Cuba team from the Oriente just completed their 4th trip into the highlands of the area of Mayarí, an area where not many people from the outside even visit or know much about.  The missionary team had an opportunity to serve the people in this area though showing Christ's love.  The team encountered many challenges including waiting all day for broken-down transportation, traveling via horse and buggy, long hikes through rough terrain, crossing the river by boat and horseback.  However the team had the opportunity to bless the people by providing hair cuts, passing out gifts to children, sharing and preaching of the Word of God, encouraging a local missionary, and simply by their visit.

At the completion of this trip, the team leader shared that there is still much to do with many still lost in these difficult places with so much idolatry, scarcity, etc.  So many places yet to visit and help.  He said that they need more workers, passionate people to serve and join them. But for now, they will continue to pray for the Lord to send more workers to the vineyard because the harvest is plentiful and the workers are few. Please Pray for MFM-Cuba to have additional men and their families join in accomplishing the task that are yet to be completed, and that through their missionary service many will come to know Jesus as their Savior.  We thank the Lord for this team's willingness to Go, Do and Give in total obedience to Jesus Christ.  What an incredible example and encouragement that they are to us.
1. Pray for Doug as he transitions into this new role.

2. Pray that we will be able to travel overseas in 2022 (a lot).

3. Pray for Men For Missions USA Cabinet meetings January 6-10.

4. Pray for Laymen in various countries to catch a vision of how the Lord can use them and their families to Do, Go and Give in total obedience to Jesus Christ.
Vision:  Our goal is the Lordship of Jesus Christ in each person's life, at home and around the world.

Mission:  Men for Missions challenges men to Do, Go and Give in total obedience to Jesus Christ.

May you be encouraged by how God is using the gifts, talents and resources of laymen around the world.
